Earthburner: Stoned at birth

Don’t let the cheesy album title fool you. This is a pissed off discharge of entombed-core crust/hardcore that is actually worth listening to it. The songs are crushing, the vocals have intensity, the riffs have “beef” and the structures make sense. The damn Hm-2 sound is annoying tough, but that is not going to make me see that this band is good. Probably because “Hang On Sloopy” is Ohio’s official state rock song these guys are so pissed off, I don’t blame them, but it has been impossible to get the lyrics anywhere so I don’t know if that’s the exact reason. As typical as It may sound, the bass is either lost in the mix, or it has mutated into one single sound with the guitars, not sure. This is much better than their 2011 “No Cures” EP, but is not as fast. The songs here are more mid tempo with moshable parts, more focused on the groove.
These are 22 minutes of great angry ass vinegar sludge/hardcore. Highly recommended!
7/10: Good stuff but please ditch the Hm-2!
After going thru that crap, you most likely wanna read something way more interesting. You do, admit it.
